Goodwill celebrates 100 years of helping people

Starting as Wall Street Mission in Sioux City in 1890, Goodwill of the Great Plains joined the international Goodwill movement in 1923, which makes this year its 100^th anniversary.

Goodwill of the Great Plains CEO Bridget Solomon says the Pierre Goodwill store opened in 2014.

Solomon says a century is a rare milestone.

Solomon says their retail sales support local jobs and a place for job training opportunities for those enrolled in their programs.

Goodwill’s Great Plains region has 21 stores in four states. A 22^nd store is slated to open in Vermillion next year.
