Cold front brings roller coaster temperatures to South Dakota this week

South Dakotans experienced a drastic temperature swing from Monday to Tuesday of this week (Feb. 26, 2024).

National Weather Service meteorologist Scott Doering says parts of the state experienced a change of 50-some degrees.

Doering says a strong cold front moved through Monday night into Tuesday.

Doering says 51 years ago, Spearfish had a record setting temperature fluctuation.
