The Capital Area Counseling Services Board of Directors has begun the search for its next CEO.
Current CEO Jennifer Gray will step down at the end of June (June 30, 2024) after 22 years with the community mental health center.
During her tenure, Gray has served in various capacities including therapist, clinical director, and Chief Operating Officer, before assuming the position of CEO.
Board Chairman Leon Schochenmaier says Gray’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping Capital Area Counseling Services into the respected organization it is today. He says her passion for mental health advocacy and tireless efforts to improve access to quality care have left a mark on our community.
Schochenmaier says in its search for a qualified candidate to succeed Gray as CEO, the Board of Directors is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and maintaining the organization’s mission of providing accessible, compassionate, and evidence-based mental health services to our community.
