The driver needed assistance getting out of the cab when the gravel truck he was in tipped onto its side late this morning (June 6, 2024) about 20 miles northwest of Fort Pierre.
Dustin Dowling with the Fort Pierre Volunteer Fire Department says the side-dump gravel truck was being unloaded when it tipped onto its driver’s side on Porcupine Loop, not far from Chantier Creek. The driver received minor injuries.
