A tremendous regular season for the Mobridge-Pollock Lady Tigers continued on Tuesday night, with a 66-38 win over Timber Lake at home. It was another instance in which they barnstormed the opposition to begin the game, which included a 13-2 run right from tip-off. It was 20-6 Lady Tigers after one quarter, which grew to 36-14 by the half. Their full-court press decimated the Panthers ability to even bring the ball up the floor. This continued to begin the second half, but Timber Lake played a much closer game, and were outscored by just six points in the second half.
Junior Tegan Konold led all players in scoring, she kept her hot hand from last Thursday with 19 points in the win. Junior Blake Thompson added 17 more, and in her return from just a one-game absence due to an ankle injury, senior Charley Henderson scored 7.
Tuesday’s game was Mobridge-Pollock’s fourth straight win over Timber Lake, and gets them to 13-2 on the season. It kicks off a four-game home stand that will see Sully Buttes, Groton Area, and Todd County all come to town in a five-day span. Lady Tigers take on 7-9 Sully Buttes as part of a doubleheader Thursday night, with our coverage underway at 6 p.m.
