It was rivalry weekend around the country in college basketball on Saturday and Sunday, and yesterday, SDSU men’s set out to make it a full sweep after the Lady Jacks beat USD Saturday 61-51. This game was as cinematic as you could have hoped for with both teams trading basketball all the way throughout. USD led this game after the first half 42-40, but the Jacks, led by Oscar Cluff and Jaden Jackson, were able to take over in the second half and get the 94-91 win.
Cluff finished with 21 points, Jackson finished with 19. Isaac Bruns and Quandre Bullock both had great games for USD, Bruns with 21 and Bullock with 20, but it wouldn’t be enough as the Jacks were able to hold off the scoring and get their 19th win on the season. The Jacks will take on ND State Wednesday at 7:00 PM, USD plays St. Thomas MN on Wednesday at 7:00 PM as well.
