Larry Rhoden switched from being South Dakota’s lieutenant governor to being its governor about two months ago (Jan. 27, 2025).
As he’s traveled the state since then, he said the tone and content of the conversations he’s had with people has changed.
One of the themes Rhoden and his team have focused on from the start is resetting relationships.
Rhoden said so far, the “reset” theme has been well received.
So far, Rhoden has vetoed two bills that legislators will have to either sustain or override when they return to Pierre Monday (March 31, 2025) for the final day of this year’s legislative session.
