In addition to the hype of the NFL draft surrounding Pierre native Grey Zabel, who was taken by the Seattle Seahawks with the 18th overall pick in the first round, and Oacoma’s Nash Hutmacher signing as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska with the Baltimore Ravens, a few other South Dakota collegiate players will also be getting their shots with NFL franchises. South Dakota State running back Amar Johnson has signed a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers, while Jackrabbit cornerback Dalys Beanum has done the same with the New Orleans Saints. And University of South Dakota tight end J.J. Galbreath has signed an offer with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Then there is Selby native Emmitt Bohle, who has finished his collegiate playing career at Arizona State by way of Northern State in Aberdeen. Bohle has been invited to take part in the rookie camp for the Chicago Bears.
