The Stanley County Lady Buffs will see their first action in Fort Pierre today, welcoming in the 2-3 Mobridge-Pollock Lady Tigers for a doubleheader. While the Buffs field a young roster for the 2025 season, head coach Keely Bracelin is excited for what’s ahead, “We are very excited to get the opportunity to finally play some games this spring! The girls have been working hard over the last month and we have seen some good things in practices. I am excited for our senior group – Camryn Norman, Brylee Kafka, and Raegan Taylor – for joining softball and being leaders for our younger group. They have had a large impact on the team already and planting seeds.”
When asked about some of the youth within the roster, Bracelin said, “We have a good mix of girls who have played before and some that are playing for the first time. We are excited to play and learn and use each game as a way to get better as we continue to build up the program.”
It will be a perfect day for softball in Fort Pierre, the games will be held at the city’s field next to the school. First pitch is set for 4:00 PM CT and we will bring you final scores here on the local sports page.
