In honor of May Beef Month and the kickoff to the summer grilling season, the South Dakota Beef Industry Council and Keloland Media Group want to find out which restaurant in the state makes the best burger.
Nominations for the first ever Keloland Beef Burger Showdown are being accepted through July 3, 2025. The entries can be for any restaurant in South Dakota, but the burger must be made with beef.
To learn more about the contest or to nominate your favorite beef burger, go to the SDBIC website, sdbeef.org, or follow SDBeef on Facebook. The Beef Burger Showdown winner will be announced July 10, 2025, on Keloland Living.
South Dakota is home to nearly 14,000 beef farms and ranches caring for nearly 3.5 million head of cattle. This contest is designed to highlight South Dakota restaurants and the farmers and ranchers who work hard to produce high quality beef products.
The South Dakota Beef Industry Council works on behalf of South Dakota beef producers through the $1 Beef Checkoff program.
