One of the more evenly matched games of the SoDak 16 in Class B saw Mobridge-Pollock face off with Hanson in the first round, and it was timely hitting for the Lady Tigers that helped them on their way to a 7-2 victory. Mobridge, the 9-seed, got on the board right out of the gate scoring one run in the first and then would put three more on the board in the third inning, those three coming with two outs. Five of the seven Mobridge runs came with two outs, something that will be a huge factor for this team if they want to make a deep run in the state tournament. Mobridge racked up 11 hits on the day, and got another great performance inside the circle from Grace Overland as the Lady Tigers improve to 11-5 on the season.
Now, Mobridge-Pollock gets set for their next playoff matchup against 12-3 Bon Homme, which is set to take place next Thursday, June 5th at 2:00 PM.
