The Stanley County School District in Fort Pierre is considering implementing a cell phone ban during school hours.
School Board President Chris Fosheim says they’ve been having the conversations over the past few months.
Personally, Fosheim says he supports having a cell phone ban during school hours.
Fosheim says incoming Stanley County Schools Superintendent Rob Coverdale and the two school principals will lead the discussion as to whether or not the District puts a cell phone ban into effect.
Fosheim anticipates having more discussions about restricting cell phone use by students during the school day at upcoming Stanley County School Board meetings.
