Pierre finsihes 2nd & 3rd at Legion Track & Field Meet Thursday

Hollister Field saw the home team put together one of themost dominant performances of the season yesterday as the Governors took first in more than multiple categories on Thursday. With the meet originally scheduled for Friday, it was moved to Thursday for inclement weather in the forecast. However, that did not stop Pierre from showing out a week ahead from the biggest meet of the year at Howard Wood.

Out of 13 total teams competing, the girls’ team finished in 2^nd scoring 126 points behind champion Brandon Valley. The boys’ team scored 103 points and finished in 3^rd behind Brandon Valley and Sioux Falls Washington, respectively. The Govs captured ten events on the day and achieved 23 personal records.
