Just like last year, SkyWest, flying as United Express, will be providing additional flight times at the Pierre Regional Airport during this Fall’s pheasant hunting season.
Pierre City Commissioner Jamie Huizenga says the added flights will be available in October and November on Thursdays, Fridays, Sundays and Mondays.
Huizenga says the additional flights are available for booking now.
Huizenga says he’s excited that confirmation of the availability of the additional flights came earlier this year than it did last year.
SkyWest took over the essential air service contract for the Pierre Regional Airport on Aug. 1, 2025.
Currently there are 12 weekly flights between Pierre and the Denver International Airport. There are two daily departure and arrival options on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with one flight arrival and departure option on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
