One of the state’s most historic and most exciting events of the year is set to take place tomorrow in Fort Pierre. Tuesday, the high school rode finals will get underway in Fort Pierre, and the best along with the up-and-coming cowboys and cowgirls in South Dakota will compete side-by-side in every rodeo event across the board.
Tuesday morning, the rodeo queens will get the week underway with their interviews and competition followed by boys and girls cutting along with reined cow horse.
Wednesday morning, the Fairgrounds will hold the second go-round of Boys and Girls Cutting before the championship go-round for cutting and reined cow horse in the afternoon.
Thursday morning, the Monument Health Cancer Awareness Pink Rodeo Performance will begin a big day at the Fairgrounds starting at 9:00 AM CT. After that wraps up, the Pioneer Hi-Bred International Military & First Responder Appreciation Rodeo Performance will take place beginning at 5:00 PM CT.
Friday morning will also see rodeo competition with the Micahel Glynn Memorial Coalition Rodeo Performance which is also scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM. In the evening, the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Rodeo Performance will get underway at 5:00 PM CT.
Saturday, to wrap up the rodeo performances, the Fairgrounds will hold the Macksteel Farm and Ranch Equipment Championship Rodeo Performance which will get underway at 4:00 PM.
