An artist from Blunt, South Dakota, displayed her work and received an award earlier this month (July 2-4, 2026) during the Western & Wildlife Art Show near Crawford, Nebraska.
Susan Reenders McNaught was one of the artists showcasing sculptures, oil, acrylic or watercolor paintings, fine jewelry, photography, fine pottery, and gourd art during the show at Fort Robinson State Park. The show presents awards for 2D and 3D Best of Show and McNaught received the 2D Best of Show award.
Patrons of the show were encouraged to ask artists questions about their work.
The 2026 Featured Artist was Tanner Nielsen, who is from the Crawford area He’s a fourth-generation rancher and horse trainer who grew up in South Dakota and now makes his home in northwest Nebraska. He works mainly with acrylic paint or pencils to make his art.
