The power has been restored.

Aug. 2, 2026:

The City of Pierre is aware of a power outage affecting the west part of town this morning (Aug. 2, 2026).

The outage is associated with the WAPA substation. Crews are actively working to restore service, and the current estimated restoration time is approximately one hour, which would be roughly 11:45am CT.
