The South Dakota Lottery is one of 24 lotteries getting ready for some football next month, with the launch of the Powerball Xs & Os™ game.
State Lottery Executive Director Norm Lingle says the new game combines two iconic brands – Powerball and the NFL. He says ticket buyers pick eight of the 32 NFL teams for a chance to win a rolling jackpot and other cash prizes. Winning teams will be drawn at random every Sunday night throughout the year.
Ticket sales begin Sept. 8, with the first drawing being held Sept. 13. Tickets cost $5 each.
Lingle says every Powerball Xs & Os ticket entered at www.PowerballOfficial.com earns points in the new national Powerball promotional prize program. Among the exclusive prize drawings are a trip to Super Bowl LXI, NFL Shop gift cards and unique NFL experiences.
Prize availability, details, and fulfillment are subject to the official rules. Powerball Xs and Os results are randomly drawn and not based on, determined by, or dependent on the outcome of NFL games.
