BEEF will be front and center at the 2026 South Dakota State Fair as the South Dakota Beef Industry Council (SDBIC) and South Dakota CattleWomen (SDCW) partner to promote the versatility, nutrition and enjoyment of BEEF throughout the fair, September 2-7, 2026, in Huron, S.D.
Fairgoers can look for BEEF Pop-Up Events throughout the week for a chance to win BEEF swag, free beef certificates, recipes and more. Attendees can also learn more about BEEF nutrition and get tips and ideas for enjoying BEEF at home.
Look for the #BEEFSTRONG hashtag and be ready to join in the fun. As part of the Pop-Up Events, fairgoers can scan a QR code for a chance to win $200 in free BEEF.
SDBIC will also have a tent located across from the DEX throughout the fair. Stop by to learn more about BEEF, how we use BEEF byproducts every day, recipes, visit with BEEF industry representatives and take part in activities and giveaways.
A special highlight of the week will be live BEEF cooking demonstrations on Friday, September 4, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Horizons Hall. SDCW members will demonstrate tasty and easy-to-prepare BEEF recipes and share ideas for bringing more BEEF to the family table. Attendees at the cooking demonstrations can also scan a QR code for a chance to win $200 in free BEEF.
