At their October 21st meeting, the Walworth County Commission, acting as the Planning & Zoning Board, held a public hearing on a variance request by B & B Recycling for a reduced setback and reduced minimum acre lot size for a steel building and scrap yard west of the junction of Highways 12 & 83. After discussion, which included positive input from one of the adjacent land owners, the Commission agreed on six acres and a two hundred foot setback from the highway right-of-way on the conditions that B & B Recycling builds an 8 foot by 10 foot solid wall fence on the north, east, and west sides, and acquires waivers from all adjacent land owners before construction begins.
