The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association will host the 74th Annual Convention and Tradeshow December 12-13, 2022, at the Ramkota Hotel and Convention Center in Pierre, South Dakota. The SDCA invites the public to attend the Cattlemen’s Banquet, President’s Auction, and enjoy live entertainment to follow. Banquet tickets are available in advance at sdcattlemen.org.
The Cattlemen’s Banquet will be held Tuesday night where the Cattleman of the Year and the Friend of SDCA awards will be honored. The highlight of the banquet is the presentation of the 2022 Leopold Conservation Award to the Bein Ranch of Veblen, South Dakota. The night will conclude with the SDCA President’s Auction.
The President’s Auction will feature several items including fishing trips, hot air balloon rides, concert tickets, and more. Funds raised through the President’s Auction offset expenses for SDCA’s volunteer Board of Directors when they travel on behalf of the SDCA to national events.
New this year to follow the Cattlemen’s Banquet and President’s Auction is live entertainment by native South Dakotan, singer/songwriter Cody Henson Hullinger. Cody has been fortunate enough to open or support such bands and acts, such as: Casey Donahew, Kip More, Florida Georgia Line, Lo-Cash, Chancey Williams, Dustin Evans, and more.
