JUNE 2, 2023:
The Bureau of Reclamation and Mni Wiconi have fixed the water main pipeline leak affecting Fort Pierre and other communities. Storage is being replenished and the restriction for watering lawns will be lifted at midnight tonight (June 2, 2023).
MAY 31, 2023:
The City of Fort Pierre is placing a water restriction on all system users starting tomorrow. The watering restrictions are in effect Thursday, June 1, 2023, at 1am until Friday, June 2, 2023 at midnight.
The Bureau of Reclamation and Mni Wiconi will be repairing a water leak in their main trunk line that serves the Fort Pierre and other communities. During this time, the water will be shut off and Fort Pierre will be using water from its storage supply.
Fort Pierre water customers are asked to limit unnecessary water usage during this time. NO LAWN WATERING until the restriction is lifted.
