HASTINGS, NE – The Oahe Zap’s franchise-record winning streak is now at four — barely.
The Zap survived a Hastings four-run tying ninth inning rally Friday, scoring a 10th-inning run to defeat the Sodbusters 7-6 at Duncan Field.
Preston Lau drove in the go-ahead run after a ground ball by Garret Arnold sent placed runner Kyle Memarian from second to third.
Oahe (14-29) led 6-2 before the bottom of the ninth, when closer Tim Dixon allowed four runs on only one hit, three walks, two balks and a hit batsman. The one hit in the inning was a three-run game-tying double by Taylor Gill off Memarian, who then pitched a scoreless 10th inning for the win.
Trevor Seagraves drove in two runs for the Zap. Tyler Traphagen had a single, RBI triple and stolen base. Memarian also drove in a run.
