Area Players Stand Out In Legion All-Star Doubleheader

ALEXANDRIA – Area players performed, some with good production, in Monday’s South Dakota American Legion All-Star doubleheader.

The Red team won the first game over the Black team 15-4, with the Black team taking the second game 9-7.

In the first game, Stanley County’s Sam Hand drove in three runs for the Red team and Platte/Geddes’ Dawson Hoffman drove in two runs.  Ethan Bartels of Winner/Colome pitched for the Black team.

Hoffman and Gunner Brueggeman of Faulkton/Highmore pitched for the Red team in the second game.
