The Pierre Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol has a new leader.
Commander Ruth Carley will continue in her roll as the Pierre Squadron’s Character Development Instructor, but she turned leadership over to Captain Jon Becker this week (Jan. 16, 2024).
Carley says adults are not required to be in the military in order to be a member of the Civil Air Patrol.
Carley says CAP has three main areas of focus.
She says youth and adults may be members of the Civil Air Patrol.
Carley says the Pierre Composite Squadron currently has nine cadets and 15 senior members.
