The Chargers found themselves behind midway thru their Tuesday night matchup against Timber Lake, as the Panthers got into an offensive rhythm earlier, carrying a 32-25 into the half. The Panthers stretched a lead out to 13 at one point, but the Chargers offense can turn on at the drop of a hat, and they did just that. The Chargers came out of the half on fire and flipped the lead in their favor, winning the third quarter 16-6. They wouldn’t look back going on to win 58-48.
Wes Wittler had more than half of Sully Buttes points, scoring 30 total. Gavin Colson also had a nice night for the Chargers, scoring 14 and going an impressive 6/9 from the floor. Treyden Beer had 17 for Timber Lake, going 50% from three.
Timber Lake will compete in the LMC Tournament Friday, Sully Buttes will play in the Dakota Valley Conference Classic Saturday.
