Luke Olson is a household name around Pierre, South Dakota at this point in his young, yet successful athletic career. If you have tuned into any Pierre Governor basketball this season or in seasons past, you have definitely heard Luke’s name as he is one of the Govs most dominant offensive players, and is often their leading scorer. You might also know him if you follow SD High School Golf, as Olson has emerged as one of the most consistent and steady players in the state. Yesterday, Olson signed with Augustana to continue playing his golf in South Dakota, however now, he will be competing at a higher level collegiately against more diverse and deeper talent pools. Below, Olson is featured with Pierre head coach Tiffany Benham (left) and assistant coach Carin Hayn (right) who have both made a huge impact on Luke’s blossoming career.
