Here’s someone who shouldn’t be allowed around kids OR animals again: A foster mom near St. Louis is accused of trying to trade a child for a MONKEY. (!!!)
Cops arrested 70-year-old Brenda Deutsch on child abuse charges last weekend. They say she’d been abusing and mistreating a teenage girl she was supposed to be caring for.
They’re still looking into it, but she may have agreed to give the girl to someone in Texas if they gave her a pet monkey in return. She apparently knew the guy because they both collected exotic animals.
A prosecutor called details of the case “heinous” and “disturbing.” And worse, she’s fostered more than 200 other kids over the years.
The girl is now with child protective services. It sounds like the foster mom could be facing a long list of charges, and going away for a very long time.
