Sully Avenue in Pierre between Garfield Avenue and Arthur Street will close to through traffic Monday (May 5, 2025) for underground water utility work. Local access will be maintained.
Barring complications, the closure is anticipated to lift by Saturday (May 10). Until the street is reopened, traffic should detour around the area.
The City of Pierre maintains more than 100 miles of water main.
