It hasn’t been the best road trip for the Minnesota Twins. They have lost back-to-back series, and lost the last two games by one run each. Yesterday, they wrapped up the road series with the Mariners losing 2-1 in crushing fashion with Seattle scoring the winning run in the bottom of the ninth. This loss moves the Twins to 31-27 and bumps them into third place, seven games back of the Detroit Tigers. The Twins will now look to try and shift things back on the right track against the Athletics who are playing in essentially a minor league stadium.
This four-game series will be the last stop of the road trip for the Twins, first pitch tonight set for 9:05 CT on KGFX 1060 AM and 103.1 FM in the Pierre area. On the mound for Minnesota tonight will be Joe Ryan Luis Severino is going for the A’s. The Athletics are one of the worst teams in baseball with only 23 wins, so this should be a good opportunity for Minnesota to shake off the last two series and gather some momentum before heading home.
