It wasn’t the start the U14 Post 8 baseball team was looking for to kick off the Cubby’s Classic in Brookings. In fact, it was the opposite. Post 8 lost their first game of the tournament in heartbreaking fashion going down in extra innings. But the boys bounced back and didn’t let the loss infringe on the rest of their tournament, and they started to rip off some wins. They seemingly used that loss to their advantage and pulled off four straight wins to propel them to the championship.
In the championship game, Post 8 would square off with Mitchell and kept their momentum moving in the right direction as they got the win (3-1) and got their championship. Pictured below is the team along with the coaching staff after receiving their medals.
