The Mobridge City Council passed a motion at their meeting Wednesday (May 13th) to grant approval for the city’s code enforcement officer to issue citations in the amount of $200 to residents he has to contact repeatedly. City Council Member Amy Cerney would like to see that department have a specific policy.
Having that policy in place along with the $200 citation were approved by the council.
Mobridge resident Maria Laude addressed the council during public forum in opposition to the splash pad. Laude had a petition signed by several residents that she has spoken with who would like to see money being applied to upgrades at the west play park (also known as the tornado park), along with improvements and maintenance in all of the city’s public park restrooms and drinking fountains.
