A Fort Pierre attorney will serve as an Associate Justice of the Standing Rock Supreme Court.
Former US Attorney for South Dakota Randy Seiler signed his oath of office yesterday (March 1, 2021).
Among the other positions on his resume, Seiler has served as Hughes County State’s Attorney and as Chief Prosecutor for the Lower Brule and Standing Rock Sioux Tribes. He is currently serving as an alderman on the Fort Pierre City Council and as the chair of the South Dakota Democratic Party.
The Standing Rock Indian Reservation covers a handful of counties in north central South Dakota and south central North Dakota.
