The South Dakota Department of Health has opened up COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to Group E of the states’ Phase I priority groups.
Sec. of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdon says people included in this group include fire service personnel and critical infrastructure workers. Those eligible can receive their COVID-19 vaccine through a healthcare network or through a participating federal retail pharmacy site. She says South Dakota has been making significant progress moving down the list of vaccination priority groups with more than 37% of state residents having received at least 1-dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Group E includes approximately 227,000 South Dakotans.
