Half of South Dakota’s adult residents are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Information from the state Department of Health shows 304,435 South Dakotans having completed their vaccine series.
Secretary of Health Kim Malsam-Rysdon says the US Food and Drug Administration approved Emergency Use Authorization of the Pfizer vaccine for those in the 12-15 age range Monday afternoon (May 10, 2021). She says approval from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention could come as soon as today.
Malsam-Rysdon says getting protected against COVID-19 is easier than ever. She says you can get vaccines through your medical provider or federal retail pharmacies.
