A 38-year-old Fort Pierre man faces several charges after being arrested yesterday (Sun.) afternoon in Pierre.
According to the Pierre Police Department, an officer came into contact with 38-year-old Ervin Yellowrobe, who appeared to be passed out in a running motor vehicle on the causeway in Pierre. The officer observed a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from inside the vehicle and asked Yellowrobe to exit the vehicle. Yellowrobe refused and had to be physically removed from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed an open alcoholic beverage container and marijuana.
Yellowrobe was ultimately charged with DUI 2nd Offense, Driving Without a Valid License, Possession of Marijuana Less Than 2oz, Open Container in a Motor Vehicle and Resisting Arrest.
