A 44-year-old Onida man faces charges after being arrested in Pierre over the weekend.
Kevin Bradberry is charged with DUI, Open Container, Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated, Texting While Driving and Unsafe Lane Change.
According to the Pierre Police Department, an officer observed Bradberry operating his vehicle in an erratic manner during the early morning hours yesterday (Sun.) on North Garfield Avenue. The officer made an enforcement stop, at which time Bradberry admitted he was texting while driving. The officer observed signs of impairment and conducted a DUI investigation. A loaded firearm was found in the vehicle next to where Bradberry was seated along with an open container of alcohol.
Bradberry was taken to the Hughes County Jail.
