August is National Women’s Suffrage Month, with the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote being August 26.
Former First Lady of South Dakota and Her Vote. Her Voice. delegation chair Patricia Miller says her group is commemorating the achievement by holding over 20 special events and sharing the story of the women who led the way for others.
Events include:

• Aug. 25 – Facebook Live; Chuck Volin shares the historical ties between women’s suffrage and prohibition
• Aug. 26 – Statewide Toast & Forward into Light celebration – light up your local landmarks and toast the 100th anniversary
• Aug. 26 – “How Radical” podcast with Virginia Driving Hawk Sneve
• Aug 27 – “How Radical” podcast with Stephanie Herseth Sandlin
