Today’s (Oct. 12) update from the South Dakota Department of Health showed 359 new cases of COVID-19 in the state since yesterday.
Coronavirus patients currently occupy 12% of the staffed hospital beds in the state. Other patients are using 46% of the staffed beds leaving 43% available. Of the staffed intensive care unit beds in the state, COVID-19 patients are using 19%, other patients occupy 52% and 28% are available to be used.
