(WNAX)- The death toll in South Dakota from COVID-19 went past 1000 people this week with an expected surge from Thanksgiving still unfolding.
Governor Kristi Noem says she hears the calls from some people asking her to “do something.”
Noem says they are following the guidelines that were laid out earlier this year.
Noem says families will have to make more decisions about the holidays through the end of the year.
Noem says despite the imminent arrival of vaccines, the impacts of the pandemic will linger across the state for a year or more.
