The Fort Pierre City Council has used a COVID-19 Response Proclamation to thank town residents, businesses and organizations for their efforts this past year dealing with the pandemic.
Mayor Gloria Hanson drafted the proclamation, which starts by noting the ingenuity and determination of businesses, churches and first responders.
Hanson also mentions the work of school, city and county employees.
She says Fort Pierre residents also did their part to deal with COVID-19.
