Housing, rent and utility assistance available for eligible residents of Stanley and Hughes counties

Residents of Stanley and Hughes counties struggling to pay their rent may be eligible for assistance through the Pierre Housing and Redevelopment Commission.

Executive director Priscilla Marso says their programs have options for living in an apartment building or in a house.

Marso says another program provides vouchers for eligible participants.

Marso says all it takes is a phone call to start the process to see if someone qualifies for either program.
