Beginning at 7am today (April 23), no parking will be permitted on a large section of Governors Drive in Pierre.
The city will be crack sealing Governors Drive between Church and Fourth Streets. To accommodate curb-to-curb work, no parking will be permitted until the work is complete. The construction zone will be signed; the signs will be removed when the parking restriction is lifted. The street work is anticipated to be complete by 5pm.
Crack sealing is a process used to fill and seal cracks in street surfaces. It mitigates water damage and extends the life of the street surface.
