A Watertown based international tower solutions company, hosted a Rebrand Launch & Ribbon Cutting Event this week (May 4, 2021) to celebrate the role South Dakota plays in advancing 5G technology.
Tower Systems President and CEO Kari Carlson says the new brand and positioning line “We Rise” speaks about the family-owned operation, serving as both a salute to the past and a mantra for the future. She says they are are grateful for 30 years of unwavering support from the State of South Dakota and the company looks forward to a bright and successful future as it rises to meet future challenges.
The event, and the day, were dedicated to Tower Systems founder, Bill Carlson, who passed away in 2019. Carlson’s vision, innovation and hard work allowed him to blaze trails in the industry as a co-founder of NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association.
President of Lake Area Technical College Michael Cartney says the school plans to launch a new Telecommunications Tower Technician Apprenticeship Program.
Tower Systems was established in 1975 as a family-operated business headquartered in Watertown, with a division in Winter Park, FL, and a satellite office in Angle Inlet, MN. The company currently has 57 employees across the nation.
