Flags to be lowered to half-staff immediately, stay that way through May 30 in honor of victims of San Jose tragedy

President Joseph R. Biden has ordered that flags be flown at half-staff nationwide, effective immediately. Flags are to remain lowered until sunset May 30, 2021, in honor of the victims of the recent tragedy in San Jose.

In response to Biden’s proclamation, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has ordered flags statewide to follow the same schedule.
