The water pipeline leak has been temporarily repaired, but Fort Pierre water customers are being asked to continue conserving water while the system catches up.
The pipe continues to leak, but the water treatment plant and core pipeline have been turned back on. Permanent repairs are tentatively planned for next week (July 6–8).
Fort Pierre is currently replenishing the supply in the town’s water storage tank, so continued efforts to conserve water are appreciated.
