Avera Therapy to open second location in Pierre

The Avera Therapy Clinic in Pierre will open a second location this fall.

Currently clinic therapy patients are able to receive treatment on the fourth floor of Avera St. Mary’s Hospital. The new location– 1211 East Wells Avenue– will provide patients with easier access to services at a location with designated parking close to the entrance. The facility will provide physical therapy services with the hope to expand offerings to include occupational therapy, speech therapy and integrative therapy services.

Renovations have begun, with a tentative opening date in September.

Among the areas Avera’s physical therapists work with people are:

• following injury or surgery,
• to improve balance and mobility,
• to treat acute or chronic joint pain, vertigo or muscle weakness

Once open, patients will be able to call 605-224-3162 to schedule an appointment at either location. Based on the type of services you need and your health insurance coverage, your provider may recommend a specific location for your therapy. Clinic hours will be 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday.
