Hot, hot, hotter than average temps expected this week

The current forecast shows temperatures in central South Dakota will be in the mid-90s to low 100s through the weekend.

Weatherology meteorologist Michael Karow says a large high pressure system is stuck in place.

While it is mid-July in South Dakota, Karow says forecast temperatures are higher than normal.
