A portion of Central Avenue in Pierre will be closed this week for storm sewer work (weather permitting).
Central Ave., from Missouri Ave. north to the mid-block alley, will close to through traffic from Monday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug. 13.
Storm sewers allow rain and other water runoff to convey off the street surface. This helps prevent localized flooding, allows for proper disposal of water, and helps preserve street surfaces.
