A 26 year old man from Pierre faces multiple charges after taking police on a short chase early Saturday morning (Sept. 11, 2021) in Pierre.
Information from the Pierre Police Department says an officer attempted to make an enforcement stop on a vehicle operating without headlights shortly after 3am CT Saturday. When the officer activated his patrol car’s emergency equipment, the vehicle operated by Warren Flood fled the scene and a pursuit ensued.
Flood was ultimately taken into custody when his vehicle wrecked near the intersection of Missouri and Fort in Pierre. He’s charged with:
- DUI 4th Offense or More
- Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility
- Driving While Suspended
- Reckless Driving
- Unsafe Lane Change
- Speeding- Obey Speed Limits
- Stop Sign Violation and Proceed Without Safe Passage
- Eluding -Aggravated
- Warrant – Warrant of Arrest
- DETAINER
- ACCIDENT
